Many sellers on the internet are either intentionally or unintentionally using all non-white backgrounds to hide the true colors of their items. If there isn't at least ONE photo with a known white area then you can't know for sure what the colors are. For example color shift towards red can make brown spots in chrysocolla or sugilite look red and blue shift can make gray look blue in jasper or agate. These differences DO AFFECT value so always ask for at least one photo on a plain white background from your sellers.
